The map is also slightly too large to scan in a single piece on an A3 scanner. It has, therefore, been scanned as two overlapping tiles which have then been stitched together (though a little imprefectly because of the creasing). Both scans plus the stitched version of the map have been included on the CD. Some of the scanned pages appear not to be straight. This is a feature of the original book rather than the scanning process.
