James Tibbett's Dunstable Guide and Local Directory, 1923.The book contains the following sections: History of Dunstable; Street Directory for Dunstable and Houghton Regis; Postal Information; Borough of Dunstable; Schools; Retrospect; Places of Worship & Religious Institutions; Local Institutions; Indexes; Calendar/Almanac for 1923. In addition there are 26 photographs of local views and 3 of local worthies plus advertisements throughout.This was a difficult book to scan because the binding was so tight. As a result a number of scans contain the edges of adjacent pages. As the alternative was to destroy a rare book this was felt to be the lesser of two evils. Price £7.50 (GBP 7.50) plus £1.00 (GBP 1) postage & packing (first class within the UK and by air mail to customers outside the UK). |
