Kelly's Directory of Huntingdonshire, 1898.When we obtained the directory, the county map had suffered a major tear and significant creasing. The map is also slightly too large to scan in a single piece on an A3 scanner (whilst the majority of the county can be scanned in one, some detail at the edges of the map are cut off). In addition to scanning as much as possible of the map as a whole, therefore, it has also been scanned as overlapping tiles which have subsequently been stitched together (though a little imprefectly because of the creasing). All three scans plus the stitched version of the map have been included on the CD. Other than the map the directory contains: Indexes; Huntingdonshire Facts; Towns and Villages Directory; Private Residents Directory; Trades & Professional Directory; Advertisements.A number of the scanned pages appear not to be straight. This is a result of the way in which the original book was printed rather than the scanning process.
