Map of Roman Britain.This map was originally published by the Ordnance Survey in 1931. The map is scanned onto the CD as 9 tiles. Each of the tiles overlaps its neighbours to ensure complete coverage. In addition to the map there are seven pages of text and an eight page index. Each of the map tiles, text and index are displayed in separate windows to enable ease of cross reference.Initial sales of this CD resulted in positive feedback. However, two subsequent purchasers commented adversely on the sharpness of some of the scans. New techniques have now been used to produce new scans of the map tiles. The new scans will be used on all future copies. Price £5.00 (GBP 5) plus £1.00 (GBP 1) postage & packing (first class within the UK and by air mail to customers outside the UK). |
