Official Guide to Helmsley & District ca 1930.This slim Guide, issued under the auspices of the Helmsley Rural District Council, is undated but the motor vehicles in a photograph and one of the adverts suggest around 1930. The 24 pages plus covers contain 9 black & white photo illustrations, a line drawing, sketch map and local adverts. When we obtained the guide, loosely inserted was a disbound 8 page book on Lastingham and its Historic Church, dated 1928. This has also been scanned and put on the CD. The text pages include the photos, line drawing and sketch map in situ.
