Durham Circa 1920.The CD contains plans of Durham City and its environs which were originally published as part of W. H. Smith & Son's Series of Reduced Ordnance Maps for Tourists by J. Bartholomew F.R.G.S. They are undated but are after 1915, as Wharton Park is shown on the city map, and prior to 1923, as the railways are still referred to as North Eastern Railway (the NER became part of the LNER in 1923). There is also a plan of Durham Cathedral plus notes on it and the city which have been taken from Muirhead's Blue Guide to England, 1920 edition.Price £3.50 (GBP 3.50) plus £1.00 (GBP 1) postage & packing (first class within the UK and by air mail to customers outside the UK). |
