1. Betty d. of John Fielding of Hadfield clothier, the s. of William of Armfield (p of Mottram) clothier, and Nanny Bennett, the d. of John of Whitfield clothier, born 20 Dec 1787 bapt 24 Jan 1788. Nanny was possibly the sister of Rebecca Bennett wife of William b 1754.


2. Joseph Fielding of Glossop and Mossley, cotton spinner and labourer & Clarissa (possibly the son of Charles F and Ann Lomas (see family #5 on the first Fielding Page) or John F and Sarah Moss (see family #5 on the second Fielding Page). Children:

John s. of John & Clarissa Fielding of Bridge End, cotton spinner bpt 11 Mar 1825 (should this be Joseph too - transcription error?)


3. William Fielding of Whitfield and Hadfield, shoemaker & Mary (possibly the son of Charles F & Ann Lomas (see family #5 on the first Fielding Page) or Samuel F and Hannah Hopwood (see family #15 on the first Fielding Page). Children:

Joseph Fielding of Hurst and Padfield (?), cotton spinner & Hannah (possibly the son of Charles F and Ann Lomas (see family #5 on the first Fielding Page) or John F and Sarah Moss (see family #5 on the second Fielding Page). Children: Joseph & Hannah Fielding of Woodcock Road, cotton spinner (are these the same parents?). Children:
5. Thomas Hadfield of Padfield butcher, the s. of Thomas of Waterside weaver, = 1788 Sarah Fielding, the d. of Charles of Symondley weaver (see family #80 on the fourth Hadfield Page).. Children:
